Advertising With Facebook

Facebook, about to hit 500,000,000 members, has become one of the most lucrative advertising channels on the internet. Many affiliates, including myself, have been cashing in promoting many offers via facebook for a number of reasons.

1. The number one reason that facebook advertising can be extremely profitable is the invasive-type targeting that you’re able to do. You’re able to target people by their ages (nothing special), relationship status (also nothing special), country, etc. However, in addition to these generic types of demographic targets, Facebook allows its advertisers to target the likes and interests of it’s users. For example, if you’re advertising a product that is used on/for boats, you can target users who like/are interested in boats, boating, jet skis, sailing, speedboats, etc. etc.

2. Facebook advertising is relatively inexpensive compared to Google Adwords. For those of you who were doing PPC for offers such as Acai Berry and Teeth Whitening around 2 years ago, you remember the decent prices for keywords on Google Adwords. However, as time flew a bit and the niche became much more saturated, people started driving the bids up so high that the niche became gradually more difficult to profit in. However, with Facebook ads, the bid prices are not unreasonable per click and you could still make huge profits with the right offers. You can also make a killing with facebook’s CPM option if you have a well-converting campaign running. CPM is cost per 1,000 impressions. FB allows you to start at .01 per CPM, which is great in comparison to places like Plenty of Fish, where the minimum CPM is .15.

If you sign up for my email list, I will be sending lots of information about facebook advertising. I’ll discuss campaigns that I’m personally running, how to optimize an offer, and more!
